From April 18th until the 21st, step into the Springtime Surprise Weekend all across the Walt Disney World Resort. You’ll find a plethora of themed 5K, 10K and 10 mile runs that will keep you on your toes! You’ll be charmed by beloved characters along your journey, and receive well-earned medals for your efforts. There are even virtual races so you can get your fix of the fun, even if you can’t make it to the most magical place on earth.

If you want to take a break from exerting all that energy, the Springtime Splash has you covered! On April 21st, soak up the fun at this special ticketed event, where you can enjoy Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon after dark. Your entry also includes unlimited ice cream and popcorn…and sprinting over to make the most of those offerings, sounds like my kind of exercise!

Fiesta in the Park

Lake Eola’s stunning scenery meets incredible art and eats, at the annual Spring Fiesta in the Park, now in its 35th year! On April 6th and 7th, from 10am till 5pm, you can savor a weekend full of flavor and fun. Hop on by a variety of booths including crafts, cuisine, and cold brews! There are countless things to see and do at this spectacular celebration of creativity.

The Fiesta in the Park backs the Orlando Community & Youth Trust, which is a non-profit organization supporting the City of Orlando Department of Families, Parks, and Recreation. Their mission is to bring family and pet friendly arts and entertainment to downtown Orlando. Celebration Exotic Car Festival

If you’re an automotive enthusiast, you auto know about this epic event! The 21st annual Celebration Exotic Car Festival showcases a dazzling display of all kinds of cars, over five fuel-filled days. From April 5th to the 9th, you’ll even have the opportunity to view legendary movie cars, in North America’s biggest collection of exotic and race cars. Keep your eyes peeled for some famous faces, because this festival is also a chance to spot all manner of actors and celebrities in attendance!

Your need for speed will also help those in need, as the event raises money for children with life-threatening medical conditions. There is no better reason to drive on down to Celebration, than to support this deserving cause.

The Escape Effect

Dapper Day

Step out in style on April 20th and 21st, when you immerse yourself in elegance at Dapper Day. This sublime soiree celebrates refined style, whether that be vintage or contemporary. Each day takes place in a different Disney World park, and you will need a standard ticket to enter. Of course you can stay all day, to enjoy all the enchantment the parks have to offer, while you swan about in style.

Saturday’s event takes place at Epcot, which at this time of year is bursting into bloom with the annual Flower and Garden Festival. You’ll find out the what the buzz is about, all spruced up and soaking up the splendor of the scenery. Alternatively, put on your Sunday Best and join the fun at Magic Kingdom on the 21st, by frolicking in Fantasyland in all your finery!

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street

You’ll be dying to get your hands on tickets for this gripping performance, taking place from April 11th to the 14th! UCF Celebrates the Arts, presents the spectacularly peculiar Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. The evening is sure to be full of chilling thrills, with this eerie tale accompanied by Stephen Sondheim’s spellbinding score.

This year, UCF Celebrates The Arts recognizes 10 years of their fantastic festival, which showcases incredible innovation and imagination. Each year they present performances and experiences to the community, in an immersive extravaganza that is not to be missed!
