Assemble Your Team
If you haven’t already got your team lined up, it’s time to finalize your group so you can get your game plan together! At The Escape Effect, we believe anyone can play an escape room, no matter your age or skill level, so you don’t need to worry about being a puzzle expert, all you need to be is open to have fun! You get out of an escape room what you put in, so if you go in feeling positive and ready for anything, you’ll have an incredible time no matter what happens.
Have A Game Plan
Ok, your game plan doesn’t need to be as intense as the above picture would suggest, in fact, keeping some mystery about the adventure you’re about to embark on, usually yields a better overall experience. What you can do though, is decide a few things amongst your team, such as who might play the role of team leader, and delegate important tasks out during the game. If you already know your own strengths, and those of your team-mates, you’re already one step ahead!
Wear The Right Clothing
We already wrote all about what to wear for the optimum escape room experience, but the long and short of it is that you want to be comfortable. Make sure you wear shoes that don’t rub, clothes made of breathable fabrics, and layer up so you can adjust your outfit mid-game in case you get too cold or too hot. Oh and don’t forget your glasses, so you can see those all-important clues!
Go To The Bathroom
This is a bit of a silly one, but the last thing you want to do is have to stop mid-game to go to the bathroom! Don’t disrupt the flow of the game by needing a flow of a different kind. You’re going to want to arrive for your escape room experience with plenty of time to spare anyway, since you’ll need to check in with a host, sign waivers, and have a game briefing. It’ll also give you ample time to make sure you get can a trip to the restroom in before you begin!
Get Ready To Document
