SeaWorld Orlando doesn’t need an icebreaker after being voted Best Theme Park In Florida Three Years In a Row. Since late last year, we’ve been anticipating Penguin Trek, the newest roller coaster being added to their repertoire. It was slated for Spring 2024. The time is finally here, and so we eagerly await its opening! In the meantime, check out the on-ride POV animation below.

This Cool Penguin Coaster Is A Chill Brrr’d
How Does Penguin Trek Ride? Is This Roller Coaster Scary?
The simulation above depicts a smooth ride through the Arctic wilderness. The coaster maintains good speed throughout with plenty of twists and turns. There are no significantly steep drops, and only one turn that banks at 90 degrees. The thrill instead comes from the fun airtime hills and the overbanked turns that really give it a bobsled vibe.
People have related the track layout to that of Manta in SeaWorld San Diego, which is much different than the one we know here in Orlando. Overall, Penguin Trek looks like a thrill that doesn’t take it too far for young kids and those that prefer a more chillaxed experience.
