Job Description
A Set Designer ensures the story is visually told from the moment players enter the escape room.
Must share a portfolio of creative work, including practical skills like painting and prop making.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the sets and props in existing games on site.
- Identify/Track when sets and props need fixing/refreshing.
- Design/Install puzzles, props, and sets.
- Fabricate prototypes of puzzles and mechanisms.
- Contribute to the buildouts of new escape rooms.
- Maintain equipment and keep work area tidy.
Proficiencies/Qualities
- Communicate clearly with other members of the team.
- Problem solve with a penchant for critical thinking.
- Take critical feedback effectively.
- Experience with power tools like drills and drivers.
- Familiarity with maker tools like lasers and 3D printers.
- Proficiency with the Adobe Suite of software.
- Familiarity with Blender and/or Fusion 360.
- Detailed, organized, and clean.
- Passion for building incredible experiences.
