Did you know that The Escape Effect already met CDC recommendations for cleaning and disinfecting before notices like this one felt necessary?
This post is intended to share with you what we already have and will be doing to make hosts and guests of ours safer and more comfortable.
Longer Reset Times = More Clean
Since 2017, we’ve gone with a longer 30-minute reset time. It means that our hosts have ample time to reset accurately and clean thoroughly before you enter the game.
Hand Sanitizer ALWAYS AVAILABLE
Since day one, hand sanitizer has been provided to our guests at the front desk. Last year, we installed a larger wall dispenser in the hallway. There’s even a bottle in our control room.
Common Areas Are Pristine
Not just within our games, our hosts are regularly cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms, hallway, and lounge for your comfort and safety too. And it’s not just us telling you that The Escape Effect is clean – our guests have also… for years.
Staff was very nice, helpful when we needed it. Also, the facility was very clean.
Very impressive across the board. The lobby, hallways, restrooms, and escape rooms themselves were clean.
Super friendly, great rooms, excellent puzzles, clean and safe. Can’t wait to go back!
First of all I love this venue! It is so nicely themed, clean, and just so nicely thought out.
Then there’s two special things we’re altering a bit just for the current, national, public atmosphere.
We’ve been doing optional private bookings for a long time. In fact, we just announced a new way to make your booking private directly through our reservation system. However, from now until at least April 30, 2020, all games are defaulting to “fully-private” regardless of how many players are on your team.
We'll Make Your Experience Private
From now until April 30, 2020, all games are fully private at no additional charge. Just another reason to play at The Escape Effect.
For those who were hoping to join existing teams, we will reconsider going back to the regular public/private options once general consensus on the matter is stabilized.
Make reservations with confidence. If you need to cancel your reservation for any reason, call us in ADVANCE of your booking and we will either reschedule or make a refund in full. This policy update will be in effect until at least April 30, 2020.
What’s Happening Next?
We will continue to look to health-related agencies like the CDC and WHO for guidance. Please watch our Facebook or Twitter pages for further announcements or check back here at the EE Blog periodically.
In the meantime, we would like to share some resources that we have found particularly helpful.
